1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.
Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot do this. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who require both mopping and vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell if the update is actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best option. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also have a range of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. robot vacuum cleaner best buy is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeably soft around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area which many robot vacuums often fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missed corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barrier and no-go areas, modify your home map or change the room's label.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also features an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone however it will assist you in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is relatively compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that does a really good job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does everything.
However, if you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robot There are many other options available which include a variety of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides an identical experience on the app with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, just snap on one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an electrical outlet and ample space to allow it to move around, however.
The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finish and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses a built-in map to create an image of immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. When it's time to recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has the same battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and it's less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
